Buying a Day ticket


You can check availability, book a boat and get access arrangements through the Club Secretary, Mr. Malcolm Docherty on 01355261771. Call after 6pm. Or email to malcolmdoc@blueyonder.co.uk


Boat hire charges, inclusive of permit costs are as follows:
(Does NOT include Hire of Electric Outboards)

Full Day  (dawn till dusk) 1 boat, max 3 anglers = £25

Evening Session 6pm – dusk from 1st May to 31st August only. (if boats available), 1 boat, max 3 anglers = £15


Exclusive Use of the Reservoir

If you want to guarantee your party exclusive use of the reservoir during a full day session, then providing no other boats have been previously agreed prior to your enquiry, the costs will be:

Purchase of 2 boats (dawn till dusk), max 6 anglers = £50 + £10 exclusivity charge = £60.

Electric Outboards

If you are fit enough, rowing will get you around the water OK but if you prefer the aid of an outboard, then there are 3 ways in which you can access an electric outboard motor.

a) Bring your own – remember it’s electric outboards ONLY.

b) Hire one from the fishing venue at Loch Vennacher en-route to Glen Finglas reservoir. (Call 01877-330011)

c) Hire one from the Glen Finglas Wild Brown Trout Fly Fishing Club. We have two electric outboards that are available for hire, You will have to make arrangements through the Club secretary to pick up the outboard and battery. We will require a deposit and proof of identity (passport or driving license). Charge for 1 outboard and battery for 1 day = £10.
